Teraloom memorial Services
Choose from some of the most beautiful locations in the world to be the final resting place of a loved one. Ash scattering memorial options are available both at sea and on land. These events can be personalized with a meaningful location, date, time, officiant, flowers and more. We make the process stress-free by obtaining all necessary permits, making desired arrangements, and taking care of logistics.
Teraloom offers three types of memorial services; Accompanied, Unaccompanied, and Assisted. (Photography options and recording the GPS coordinates of exact scattering location is available with every service.)
Accompanied Memorial Service
This service is the best option for families seeking to scatter ashes at sea or have a beautiful ash scattering memorial in nature. An experienced captain or guide will take the family to a designated location where scattering ashes is authorized. The event can be simple or personalized based on the deceased's final wishes or the family's needs. You can personalize an accompanied memorial service to make it a beautiful and remarkable event.
Includes the following:
- PERMITS & APPROVALS
- We fill out and assist in submitting all permits, approvals, and required documentation - making the event streamlined and stress free. This includes filing the required report with the EPA when the service is done at sea.
- PERSONALIZED CEREMONY
- We can help personalize the event upon request. This could involve flowers, music, an officiant (celebrant, priest, pastor, etc.), video, and more. Ceremony templates are available with options such as prayers, eulogies, songs, quotes, and more.
- LOGISTICS & COORDINATION
- Family and friends receive guidance for planning the event. This includes any transportation assistance needed for the deceased. If at sea this could include mapping out the charter trip to include local landmarks or even to an area where you can see marine wildlife. If the service is on land this can range from a long and epic hike to a location that is accessible and suitable for any physical ability.
Unaccompanied Service
A perfect option for those who might be physically, financially, or otherwise restricted from traveling to the place they would like a loved one to be scattered. This option can also be helpful for those who wish to memorialize someone with whom they might not have had a close relationship. In this service one of our trained professionals transports, documents, and disperses a loved one’s ashes.

- STANDARD TIMING VS. EXACT DATE
- Standard Timing: (typically ashes are scattered within 30-90 days, pending seasonal considerations) With this option we plan the best day for a loved one's scattering event. We keep families updated along the way and will provide an exact scattering date as well as approximate time once the memorial is scheduled.
- Exact Date: Does your family want to have a loved one's ashes scattered on a special day? (birthday, anniversary, date of passing, etc.) Once they select a special date, we will reach out to confirm if we are able to go out on that date given the weather, sea conditions, or other scheduled events.
