William Wayne Bauer

William Wayne Bauer, age 74, passed quietly on June 11, 2021. He is survived by his wife, Cinda of nearly 51 years, two sons: Benjamin (Jancy) Bauer of Westerville and Matthew (Janet) Bauer of Marysville, OH and their two children, Ethan and Zachary Bauer and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his two brothers, Thomas (Vonda) Bauer of Cuyahoga Falls OH, and Joseph (Lita) Bauer of Benicia CA. He is preceded in death by both parents: Andrew W. and Marguerite K. Bauer, formerly of Seville, OH. Bill as he preferred to be called, was a lifelong voracious reader of everything and attended 5 years of college where he met his wife, Cinda. He was also in love with all things woodworking. He never met a piece of wood he didn't love and own. He made all the moldings and built-in bookcases for their house as well as carved and turned numerous items which he sold at art and craft festivals. He was a former member of the Columbus Chippers and spent time with the carving club at Source Point in Delaware, OH. He worked for Buckeye Valley Schools as a custodian for 15 years. He was a lovely, kind and generous man and will be missed by all who knew him--including his cat Meela, who spent the last day he was home, sleeping beside him. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions can be made to any animal shelter as Bill loved all animals.
