William ‘Bill’ Bottorff passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022 in Dublin, Ohio. He lived in Livingston, NJ for most of his life, prior to moving to Ohio almost 5 years ago. He was born July 4, 1928 in Neptune NJ, son of the late William L and Eleanor Bottorff. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joan Bottorff and his son, William L Bottorff II. Bill worked for FW Woolworth company in both New York and New Jersey. He was also employed by Sears in Livingston, NJ after his retirement from Woolworth’s. Bill served in the US Army 1946-1948, and then in the Army reserves. Being a proud patriotic man, Bill was a member of Post 201 American Legion, Livingston NJ. He served as Sergeant of Arms, Senior Vice Commander and Commander. Bill also served in Essex County (NJ) as Vice Commander and Commander. Bill leaves behind three children, Lori (Bill) McAtee, JoAnne (Don) Sult, and John (Patty) Bottorff. He also leaves behind eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Bill will be buried in the Veterans Cemetery in Arneytown, NJ along side his wife. There will not be a funeral or memorial service at this time. The family would like to thank the staff at Sunrise Senior Living of Dublin Ohio and Capital City Hospice for their care and support.
