Willis “Will” H. Pifer, age 79, passed away at OSU Wexner Medical Center August 23, 2023. Will was born to the late Harold and Elanora (Lepley) Pifer September 23, 1943 in Norwalk Ohio. Will married Rosalie Pifer August 26, 1977 and they enjoyed nearly 46 lovely years of marriage. Will is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Lisa Ann Markley; brother, Harold “Butch” Pifer; and grandson, Will Michael Pifer.
Will is survived by wife Rosie Pifer; children, Lorraine (Roger) Lowdermilk of North Carolina, Kenneth Pifer of Bucyrus, Tracey (Jeff) Price of Bucyrus, Steven (Kathy) Pifer of Bucyrus, Scott (Kaye) Pifer of Bucyrus; 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; brother, David (Rita) Pifer of Monroeville; sisters, Annissa Foulk of Indiana, Alice (James) Theisen of Oak Harbor, and Susan West of Cleveland.
Will was a graduate of Monroeville High School class of 1963. He owned and operated his own auto repair shop called Will Pifer Repair for 35 years. He enjoyed working on cars, attending tractor pulls, and drag racing. He loved spending time with his family and will be deeply missed.
There will be a committal service at Oakwood Cemetery of Bucyrus at the Niches September 16, at 1PM. Officiating Pastor Dan Rebon. Memorials may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society. Moments of remembrance may be left online.
