Vivian Burns

September 19, 1965 — January 9, 2024

Vivian (Charles) Burns, 58, of Orient Ohio, left her earthbound body for her heavenly home, on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at home.

Born September 19, 1965, in Williamson West Virginia, she was the daughter of Earmel & Georgiann (Fultz) Charles.

Vivian, aka “Boo,” as we all knew and loved her, was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend. Her grandchildren were her world, and they love her dearly. A void has been left that won’t be filled until we see her again. She loved her dogs as children, and they are missing her as we all are. Vivian never met a flower she didn’t love and was an avid gardener. Her yard was filled with beautiful flowers and works of art, some of which she herself painted or created. Her labor of love was a visual gift to any who drove or walked past. But her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren, and her greatest love was for them and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Vivian re-dedicated her life to Jesus recently and we know beyond a shadow of doubt that she is there, resting and at peace, in heaven with her beloved Jesus.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents James & Dema Charles, Isaac & Ethel Fultz, granddaughter Cheyenne Burns, aunts & uncles, sister-in-law Julie, great-niece Eliana Coy, her dog Cubby, and several family members on her husband’s side.

In addition to many family and friends whom she loved dearly, immediate family survivors include her children: Chris (Shawna) Burns, Matt Burns, Nick (Destiny) Burns, Timmy (Sierra) Burns, Grandchildren: Logan, Jacob, Daniel, Riley, Ian, Lydia, Mason, Waylon, Jolene, Annabelle, Briella, Zoey, and great granddaughters Elaina and Aniaya. Siblings: Teresa (Ed) Flanagan, Marie (Cecil) Burns, Ernie Charles, Kathy (Don) McNeal, Ike (Julie) Charles, Lois (Tom Watson) Charles, Toni (Bruce) Duncan, Lisa (Damon) Miller, Earl (Mindy) Charles, Chris, Jason Charles, many beloved nieces and nephews, Current Partner Dave Miller, her pups Sonya & Lucy, and Former husband Alan.

Vivian’s Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, January 14th at Grove City Church of the Nazarene, 4770 Hoover Rd, from 1:00-3:00PM in the Choir Room, with Pastor Owen Stotts officiating.
