Valerie Lynne Sheik (Estabrook-Davis) of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025. Valerie was a beautiful woman who never met a stranger and brought energy and joy to every occasion. She loved friends and family deeply and expressed it at every opportunity, often opening her home to those in need of shelter, love and a feeling of acceptance.
Valerie was born on November 14, 1939. She graduated from North High School (1957) in Columbus, Ohio, where she was head majorette for the Polar Bears football team and was also heavily involved in vocal music and theater. Later in life she ran her own dance studio; founded the vocal musical group, "Friends"; as well as her own musical variety company, "City Lights Productions". She was a performer and choreographer for the well-known Columbus based "Vaud Villities" for many years.
Valerie was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Joseph Estabrook and Evelyn Carey (Ryan) Estabrook, as well as her sister, Sandra Jean (Estabrook) Klein. She is survived by son Cory Raymond (Karen) Estabrook; daughter Erin Lei (Davis-Hall) Henson; daughter Robin Lynne Davis; and son Joshua Jason Sheik. She is also survived by sisters Donna Rae (Estabrook) White and Kathy Jo (Estabrook) Cook.
She is additionally survived by her beloved grandchildren, Brian (Hannah) Estabrook; Carey (Bobby) Means; Aidan Hall, Allison Hall and Savian Sheik; as well as great-grandchildren Evelyn and Jalen Means; nieces, nephews, cousins and a multitude of lifelong friends.
To say Valerie was vibrant and feisty does not scratch the surface. Her beautiful spirit and stamina were infectious, earning her the nickname "Energizer Bunny". She will be terribly missed by all who loved her.
