Thomas Wayne Vernon

Thomas W. Vernon, 68, of Loudonville, OH passed away peacefully at home on June 26, 2021 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He is preceded in death by his parents, John B. Vernon and Martha V. (Butler) Vernon. Thomas was born in Ashland, OH on January 7, 1953. He attended Mt. Vernon Schools. Following graduation, he served with the US Marines in the Vietnam War. Thomas worked as a Superintendent for over 40 years with several construction companies. He had a lifelong love for family, friends, motorcycles, and mastiffs. He loved life and all the experiences that went with it. He always had a smile and made people laugh. Thomas is survived by his wife, Kathleen Field of Loudonville OH; Daughters, Ashley Brakke and Husband Colby Brakke of Pierre, SD, and Natasha Sund and fiancé Casy Johnson of Norfolk, NE; Granddaughter Chevelle, and Grandsons Jett, Chisum, Soren, and Noble; Brothers, Richard Vernon of Aradia, FL, Robert Vernon of Mt. Vernon, OH, John Vernon of Milton, DE; Sister, Becky (Vernon) McFarland of North Port, FL; Many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Ohio Mastiff Rescue. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 6, 2021 from 6pm to 9pm at the VFW Post 8586 Pavilion, 2802 Co Rd 917 in Perrysville, OH.
