Thomas M. Singleton, 70 years old, of Columbus, Ohio, born June 21, 1949, passed away at Mount Carmel Grove City Hospital on March 25, 2020. He was born in Senecaville at the Singleton family farmhouse. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Everett W. and Frances L. Schubert Singleton, older brothers Wesley (Everett) Singleton, Jr., William Singleton, as well as, a younger brother, Robert Singleton. Tom was married to Rebecca (Becki) Finch Singleton. They share a daughter Ashleigh Singleton and two grandchildren, Eisley Tracy, 8 years old and Emerson Tracy, 4 years old. Tom was previously married to Marie Campbell Davis and they adopted their daughter Molly M. Singleton at birth. His daughters and grandchildren were the center of his life and he loved them dearly. He also cherished his two living brothers, Charles (Charlie) and James (Jim) Singleton, along with his many cousins, nieces and nephews. Family was very important to him and close to his heart. He spoke of family often and loved attending the annual reunions. He was one of the last to leave the reunions! Tom attended the University of Cincinnati's College of Engineering and earned a BS degree in civil engineering. He was hired by the Ohio Department of Transportation as a civil engineer, and worked a desk position for over 35 years before retiring in 2010. While raising his two daughters, he dedicated his time in making sure they had a good life, taking them on many trips, involving them in many extracurricular activities and always being supportive of them whenever needed. He was a peaceful, loving person who was kind to all he met. Resting in Heaven with family, he is dearly loved and missed. A celebration of Tom's life will be held in Senecaville. The date and location have yet to be determined due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
