Teresita M Custodio

Teresita M Custodio, walked into the light on July 13, 2024 at Columbus, Ohio. Her life began January 13, 1943, the youngest daughter to Jose and Jovita Morando at San Pedro, Laguna, Philippines. She graduated from Far Eastern University at Manila, Philippines with an accounting degree and immigrated to the United States settling in Chicago, Illinois. She married Inigo N Custodio on April 1972 and the couple was blessed with two sons. Tragically widowed June 1979, Teresita raised her two sons with the help of many caring family members and friends. Known for her devout Catholicism, she regularly prayed, attended mass and made several pilgrimages to holy sites around the world.

Teresita loved to travel, enjoyed movies, soap operas, musicals, wordsearch, game shows, talking to friends and family, and was a huge fan of her granddaughters’ softball and basketball teams.

Teresita worked as an accountant for a bank in Chicago, remembered by friends and helping many others start their careers. Teresita is survived by two brothers Eusebio and Teofilo; son Warren and daughter in law Carina; son Eric, daughter in law Michelle, and granddaughters Mia and Abigail.

Teresita being a joyful person spread that joy to anyone willing to share in the joy of life. Her infectious laugh and smile, her spirit of happiness, and the limitless love she gave touched many.

Beloved by many family members and friends, Teresita leaves behind a powerful legacy of hope and love. May Teresita rest in the peace of God. Amen.
