Susan Del Myers, 76 went home to Our Lord on June 2, 2023. Susan was born December 13,1946 to Dr. Theodore and Shirley Myers. Preceded in death by her parents, youngest sister Carolyn Myers, niece Amanda Pfeifer, and special love of her life - fiance Steve Wynn who passed in 1979. Survived by brothers Theodore (Julie) Myers, James (Peggy) Myers, and Thomas (Linda) Myers and Sister Marie (Orville) Jones. She leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, grand nieces and grand nephews.
She graduated in 1966 from Canal Winchester High School and then went on to work as a receptionist in her father's medical practice.
She was the oldest of six children and always helped her mother with her younger brothers and sisters. She loved people, but she wanted you to be on time! She helped us all get up and get to school on time and continued to keep everyone on their toes the rest of her life!
She loved cats and tolerated dogs because she was always a little afraid after she was bitten when she was 12 years old.
She loved to walk and to read. She got her love of reading from her mother and they would often pack all of the siblings up and walk the three and a half miles to the library in Lithopolis. Her love of reading lasted her whole life and she would always have a book she was just finishing or one she just started.
Susie was kind and forgiving. She was generous and would share anything she had. She enjoyed presents and surprises! If you gave her a gift no matter how little, it looked as if the world stopped when she would open and see what she got! She was always filled with joy!
She loved to dance and she loved to sing! Her apartment was always filled with music as she played the organ by ear her whole life. On almost every shopping trip she'd slip in some hot pink lipstick and a CD of music she liked.
She loved jewelry and watches. It was not unusual for her to send 12 or 14 different watches to her brother in law to have the batteries changed. She liked to go down to Shaw's Jewelers and pick out different watches that she liked. She was a lot like a Timex because throughout her life she proved she could take a licking and keep on ticking!
She looked forward to get togethers at the senior center and her bible study. She loved her special friends at the apartments and love to watch TV with her friend Patty.
She loved her church and her church family. She would say "I am a Lutheran" with a sense of joy and inclusiveness. No matter where she lived, she would immediately find a Lutheran church to worship and share her faith. Peace Lutheran Church loved her back and she knew it. They appreciated her giggles and her mannerisms that will forever be in our memories. She extended The love of Christ through how she lived her life by being loving, forgiving, and accepting of others. And mostly she loved God. Now we can rest assured that she is in the arms of her Father and her savior Jesus Christ.
