Steven Wade Thompson

Steven Wade Thompson, 56, of Baltimore, Ohio passed away on Monday September 4th, 2023 after a long battle with multiple organ failure.

He was born July 25, 1967 in Columbus, Ohio and was the son of Janet and Benjamin Thompson, Jr.

He was also preceded in death by brother Heath Thompson, sister Cheriee Thompson, grandparents Florence & Carl Ryther and Virginia & Benjamin Thompson, Sr.

Steven graduated from Liberty Union High School with the Class of 1985. He went on to have a successful career in the transportation industry while coaching many little league teams, helping with 4H activities, and maintaining alumni involvement with the local agriculture program. Steven was also a longtime member of American Legion Post 283.

Steven was quite a character to those who knew him and anyone who didn't, and an illustrative storyteller.

He is survived by his parents, Janet and Jr, his children, Austin (Victoria McDowell) Thompson, Autumn (Andrew) Gin, and granddaughter Elynn. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Cynthia Thompson, and many cherished cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A celebration of life will be held November 5, 2023 at the Pickerington American Legion Post 283 from 1:30pm-4:30 pm at 7725 Refugee Rd. In lieu of flowers, there will be a basket to share photos and/or memories of Steven with the family.
