Steven Robert Timmons, age 73, of Newark, Ohio, passed away on May 29th, 2021. He was born on June 5th, 1947, the son of Hilma and Robert Timmons of Kirkersville, Ohio. Steve was a loving husband, son, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He served in the Ohio Army National Guard and had a lifelong love of horses. As a career craftsman, Steve thrived in the construction and building trades industry, overseeing the construction of many prominent buildings and churches in the central Ohio area and across the United States. Steve had an infectious personality, was loved by all who knew him, and never met a stranger. He lived his life to the fullest, staying busy until his life came to an end. He enjoyed traveling to the state of Texas whenever possible, and particularly loved the Hill Country north of San Antonio. Steve was also a lifelong Christian, adult Sunday School teacher, and traveled on numerous Christian mission trips to the western United States and the country of Haiti. He positively impacted the lives of all who knew him and will be missed greatly by those who had the honor of having him as a part of their lives. He is survived by wife, Lois Timmons; daughter, Angela (Charlie) Dutton; son, Chad (Paula) Timmons; son, Wade (Amy) Timmons; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
