Shirley Jean Brown

SHIRLEY JEAN BROWN, 87, of Springfield, Ohio passed away on May 19, 2024 at Ohio State University Hospital. Born in Springfield, Ohio on August 8, 1936 she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Helen J. (Mercer) Wyatt.

Shirley was a graduate of Springfield High School and was employed by Ohio Bell and (AT&T) for over 35 years as a telephone operator. She was a member of the Union Club for over 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband George E. Brown, brother Charles R. (Bob) Wyatt and sister-in-law Marjorie both of New Hampshire.

Shirley did not know a stranger or miss a birthday. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her three daughters, Kathryn Wilson Gregory, South Vienna, OH; Erica Lethcoe Vanderventer, Jamestown, OH; and Kerri Lethcoe, South Vienna, OH. Nine Grandchildren; Cori, Erin, Sarah, Braden, Charles, Katie, Christian, Alyssa, and Alyse; Thirteen Great-grandchildren; Haley, Gabby, Mason, Evan, Bradley, Caden, Marlon, Zoey, Owen, Hadley, Holton, Nolan and Lainey; One Great-great granddaughter; DaLilah. Shirley is also survived by a sister Jacqueline Gregory of Springfield, OH, special cousin Sharon Adams, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Services will be held at a later date as determined by the family.
