Shirley Ann Smyers, 69 of Chillicothe, passed away from Covid-19, Friday, November 26, 2021 at Adena Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born August 26, 1952 to the late Virgil Smyers and Donna (Smyers) Rossiter. She was preceded in death by her ex-husband and friend, Douglas Arthur Browning. She is survived by her children, Patty (Dale) Skaggs of South Salem, Charles (Audra) Queen of Chillicothe, Robert (Rhonda) Queen of Chillicothe, and April (J.R) Ramey of Bainbridge. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Chuck Queen, Aubrey Queen, Jarrett Queen, Evan Gallaugher, Gabrielle Queen, Hunter Skaggs, James Ramey II, and Ashley Ramey; brother, Walter (Vickie) Smyers; sister, Leona (Herman) Schwalbach; special cousin, Lisa Poole; and special friend, Cynthia Nichols both whom she loved as daughters. She started her family early in life and worked hard to earn her GED. She retired as a Machine Operator from Mead Paper. She loved her kids and grandkids unconditionally. She never met a stranger and helped anyone in need when possible. She treated her friends like family. Most of the people she knew she treated as if they were her kids. She enjoyed traveling, playing bingo and the lottery. A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the Acts Believe Church 11986 Pleasant Valley Road, Chillicothe, Ohio 45601 with Elder Dan Ramey officiating.
