Sherry Lee Rachelle Root

Sherry Lee Rachelle Root 60, of Lancaster OH, gained her wings on Wednesday, March 8th, 2023.

Sherry was born on July 19th, 1962 in Athens OH. The daughter of of the late David Rodgers and Jonda Lindsey.

Sherry was also preceded in death by her younger brother, David Rodgers II.

Sherry graduated from Teays Valley High School in 1980. She went on to study cosmetology at Ohio State and graduated at the top of her class. Sherry built a clientele quickly and before long she had her own salon.

Sherry loved making others happy. She expressed so much love for her friends and family through her homemade cooking. She also enjoyed gardening, crafting, antiques, her children and spending time with family.

Sherry was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, GG, godmother and friend. Always ready to lend a helping hand. She had a smile that could brighten a room and a sparkle in her eye that shined even brighter. Her positive and kind energy will definitely be missed.

Sherry is survived by her children Rachelle (Crystal) Root, Billy Martin Jr and Raylee Martin. Sisters Tangela “Tang” Moore and Terri “Chick” (Jim) Beverly. Grandchildren Miley, Khloe and Aubree. As well as her co-workers and friends.

We will be having a Celebration of Life to celebrate our love for Sherry and her love for all of us. The celebration will take place at 4pm on April 29th, 2023 at Kyber Run Golf Course. 5261 Mink St Johnstown OH, 43031

In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations to help relocate Sherrys 2 minor children with their older sister.
