Scott Ayers

Scott Anthony Ayers, age 50, of Delaware, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 5th, 2025, at his residence. He was born August 5th, 1974, in Delaware, Ohio, to Carl T. Ayers and Alice E. (Welch) Phillips and graduated from Rutherford B. Hayes High School in 1993.

Scott is preceded in death by his wife, Kristy Lynn Ayers; his father, Carl; and his mother, Alice. He is survived by his stepfather, Ted Phillips; his stepson, Tyler (Jessica) Holloway; daughters, Trinity and Taelynn Ayers; brothers, Brian (Kellie) Ayers and Chris (Christine) Ayers; nieces, Olivia and Cate Ayers; and nephew, Jake Ayers.

Scott spent his high school years as a gymnast and often enjoyed throwing boomerangs with his friends. After high school, Scott spent most of his time learning how to become an electrician (his favorite tools were Milwaukee) and he often made friends through his work. Most of his friends called him Scotty; however, his mom’s favorite nickname for him was “Scottina.” He loved going to his brother Brian’s house to have cookouts, help with dinner, and enjoy bonfires. During his downtime, he found it entertaining to haggle with salesmen over free merchandise and great deals. Lastly, he enjoyed family movie nights and taking his children fishing.
