Sarge

Laurie Gould “Sarge” Place of Cambridge, passed away surrounded by loved ones April 21 2024.

Sarge was born on May 17, 1949 in Manchester, New Hampshire son of the late Mark and Suzanne Place.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 20 years Catherine S. Place.

Sarge is survived by his partner of close to 20 years Jodi Rogerson and sons Daniel and Christopher. His Son AJ (Kristin) Doyle of Pittsburgh, PA, Sisters Penny (Fred) Abbot of Pittsburgh PA, Terri (Robin) Lee of Clermont, Florida, and Brother Jon (Janine) Place of Juneau, Alaska, several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

He was a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and a had passion for photography and repairing cars.

He was a life member and served as Treasurer of the Fraternal order of Eagles Aerie 386 Cambridge, Ohio.

We would like to extend gratitude to the staff of Riverside Methodist Hospital SICU and Cardiac Doctors for their gentle and compassionate care of Sarge and his family.

Sarge’s wishes were to be cremated with some of his favorite “Flower” in his pocket.
