Sara M Saffell

Sara M. Saffell, 72 years old of New Lexington, Ohio passed away on April 16, 2025. 

Sara was born November 22, 1952 in Wise, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Don and Evelyn Sandlin.

Sara was preceded in death by 3 brothers; Don, Eddie and Jim, 1 sister; Debbie Sue.

Sara was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Sara made their house a home and enjoyed cooking for family, friends and neighbors. She made everyone feel welcome. Sara will be greatly missed and was loved by all that knew her. The world will be a little hungrier place without her.

Sara is survived by her devoted husband and best friend, Clarence (Skip) Saffell of almost 40 years!!! She leaves behind 1 daughter, Amy Jo Saffell and 2 grandchildren, Leon and Amelia. She also leaves behind her “little buddy” Bear. Also survived by 3 sisters; Lois, Glenda and Mary, 1 brother Robert (Hooker) and wife Mary Sandlin. She is survived by her extended family of (In-loves), Ginny, Rusty & Brenda, Yoyo, Mary & Larry and Mala & Clay. 

No services per Sara’s wishes. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
