Rose Ann (Woodworth) Martin, 90, of Marysville, OH and formerly of Plain City, OH and Fort Myers, FL, died Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at The Gables of Marysville. Born June 21, 1934 in Irwin, OH, to the late Bertie Inez (Blankenship) and Charles Clarion Woodworth, she was the eldest of five children.
Rose Ann married Vernon Lee Martin on September 8, 1953. Their union produced six children and they celebrated 60 years of marriage shortly before Vern’s passing in December 2013. She was employed for many years at Ranco Controls in Plain City and thoroughly enjoyed her life in sunny Fort Myers. As a lifelong Methodist she served in the Cypress Lake United Methodist Church before returning to Marysville to be near family.
In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by daughter, Deborah Gail Davis (2024); granddaughter, Ashley Rose Martin (2006); brothers, Robert Edgar Woodworth (2024), Charles Monroe Woodworth (2022), and David Stephen Woodworth (2021); sons-in-law, Randall Ben Davis (2005) and Philip Arthur Meeker (2015).
Surviving are her brother, Johnny Dean Woodworth (Janet) of Marysville, OH; children, Sharon Guisinger (Roger) and Sheila Pettit (Terry) of Urbana, OH, Dean Martin and Jody Meeker of Marysville, OH, and Vernon “Brad” Martin (Carol) of Plain City, OH; grandchildren, Brian Neill (Christa) of Columbus, OH, Charlotte Boyd (Mike) of West Monroe, LA, Brady Pettit (Angela) of Roseville, CA, Andrea Jenkins of Union, SC, Laurel Mock (Josh) of Galloway, OH, Lindsay Morrison (Kyle) of Monroe, OH, Tyler Meeker of Cincinnati, OH, and Dustin Martin (Connie) of Ashburn, VA; great-grandchildren, Clover and Maeva Neill, Seth Murray, Cody and Makenzie Jenkins, Levi and Clara Mock, Emma and Jude Martin, and Rori Morrison; sisters-in-law, Sandy Woodworth of Newburgh, IN and Joyce Woodworth of Florence, SC; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and step-family members.
A memorial service will be held at a later date with interment in Union Township Cemetery, Milford Center, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
