Ronald Wayne Sanderlin, 80, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully on the evening of Monday, September 12th, 2022 at Columbus Colony Elderly Care. Ronald loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed.
Ronald was born on October 15, 1941 at home in Melvindale, Michigan, son of Otha and Maud Sanderlin. He was a graduate of the Ohio School for the Deaf, Class of 1960. He worked over 35 years for various printing companies in several states until his retirement from Akron Beacon Journal.
Ronald was preceded in death by his two sons, Patrick and Dean Sanderlin; his parents, Otha and Maud Sanderlin; and brother, Timothy Sanderlin.
Ronald is survived by his son, Kevin Sanderlin, his wife, Minja, and three grandchildren, Lilly, Nari, and Maru of New Market, Maryland; one brother, Kenneth Sanderlin of Portsmouth, Ohio; two sisters, Kay Gillilan of Columbus, Ohio, and Deborah Throckmorton of Grove City, Pennsylvania; as well as many nieces, nephews, and their grandchildren.
Ronald enjoyed working in his garden, tending flowers and observing the hummingbirds and butterflies. He actively supported the Akron and Canton Deaf clubs as well as the Ohio Association of the Deaf.
A private service will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022. In memory of Ronald, please plant Hollyhocks flowers to attract butterflies and hummingbirds. If you would like to make a donation in memory of Ronald Sanderlin, please visit the Tribute Fund.
