Roger James Blossom Jr

November 28, 1965 — August 9, 2022

Roger James Blossom Jr. was born to Roger Blossom and Lynne Blossom in Toledo, Ohio on November 28th, 1965. Roger was the oldest child, followed by Scott, Phillip and Michael. He graduated from Start Highschool in 1984 and later became a sales manager for Arkam Steel in his younger years, then a sales rep for Ciralsky and associates. From 2015 till present, he enjoyed working at Buckeye Diamond Logistics and enjoyed everyone he worked with. His work ethic was beyond those among him. He became a leader in any situation he was put in and always strived to be the best he could be while leading others to be the best versions of themselves. There was not a mountain he couldn’t move. He faced all challenges head on and always had a great attitude while striving to get as much work done as possible. Roger was preceded in death by his mother Lynne, brother Scott Blossom and stepmother Peggy Blossom. He is survived by his partner Shannon Barnes who stayed by his side through it all and her son Zander Barnes who adored him. He is also survived by Father Roger Blossom SR., Brother Phillip (Amy) Blossom, and Michael (Janell Heller-Garcia) Blossom. Roger leaves behind his very special children Anthony Martinez, Ericka (Kyle) Baker, Jacob (Lindsay) Blossom, Travis (Hailey) Blossom. His grandkids Emilia Blossom, Mason Law, Lexi Baker, Baker Blossom, Corbin Baker, Charlotte Blossom, and nephews Dylan Blossom, Rook Blossom along with nieces Alexa Blossom, and Alizae Blossom. He was also survived by his “Mama Sharie” whom he cared for deeply in his later years and helped him though his trials and tribulations. Roger had many friends and family visit with him during his last days, which made him feel extremely loved and happy. It meant so much to him to relive some of his memories with everyone and hear what an impact he made on so many lives. Roger was blessed with many friends and was a well-loved member of the Village of Carrol where he lived. His childhood friends Paul Mortensen and Mike Egan never left his side and supported him through everything over the years. Most of his friends he turned into family. In his early days he loved playing softball and managed to bowl a few 300’s that he was proud of. There wasn’t a day that passed he wasn’t talking about how proud he was of his children. No one ever met this man without falling in love with him. He enjoyed his Sunday golf outings with his buddies who taunted each other daily. He loved the phrases “Hit a rock” with his fist held high waiting for the other person to hit his back or “don’t talk about it be about it” when he wanted to stress that actions speak louder than words. He believed in helping others without anything in return and most would say he had the biggest heart they’ve ever met. Rogers wishes were to have everyone participate in an activity that he valued after his passing to celebrate his life and chose against any services. His wish was to be cremated along with his mother and brother Scott. He would like all donations to go towards charity and helping others like himself beat the battle of cancer. Celebration of life will be held on Sunday Aug 21st from 2-5pm at the Barrell Bar and Burgers, 83 E. Canal St. Carroll, OH 43112. We will always carry your memory in our hearts.
