Robert Eugene Thompson Jr

Robert Eugene “Butch” Thompson, Jr,. of Baltimore, Ohio, passed away on February 2, 2025 in the home he had recently designed and built with his own two hands. 

Butch, was born in Lancaster, Ohio to Robert and Clara Marie (Nisley) Thompson, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his loving partner, Robin Carter Thompson, his sister, Debra Leiendecker, his brother Kenny Thompson and husband Randy, his son Jerrod Thompson and wife Emy, his daughter Katelyn Thompson and her fiancée Jake Phillips, his Grandson Jake Thompson and wife Taylor, and his Granddaughter Kaycee Thompson. He also leaves behind several cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard Thompson and sister-in-law Stephanie Thompson, brother Keith Thompson, brother in law Ray Leiendecker, and an infant sister Kimberly Michelle Thompson.

Butch was a 1972 Graduate of Liberty Union High School He retired from being a self-employed craftsman building, remodeling & repairing homes. 

Butch loved fishing, traveling, and playing poker with his friends. He will be dearly missed. However, his poker buddies won’t miss losing their money to him. 

Per his request there will be no funeral or calling hours. The family plans a memorial celebration at a later date. 

The family would like thank Fairhope Hospice for their care. A special thanks to Crystal for listening to all the bad jokes & to Chaplain Mark for his visits.
