Robert Herbert

Robert James Herbert (73) of Thornville Ohio peacefully joined his family members that fell before him in heaven on 02/08/2022. Robert was born 0n 04/27/1948 in San Diego, California. He was the Son of the late Maurice and Audrey Herbert, and preceded in death by his sister Patricia Raynor, Wife Delilah Herbert, Sons Troy, Casey & wife (Jess), Travis & wife (Candace), Dennis & wife (Bobbi) Herbert. His beloved Grandchildren include Troy’s children Caden & Avah, Casey & Jess’s children Noelon, Sugaree, & Breckin. Travis & Candace’s children Londyn, Liberty, Solomon, & Forrest. Dennis and Bobbi’s son Damion. Robert was a hero to his children and larger than life to his grandchildren his presence will never be forgotten. He worked over 35 years at Pepsi Cola and had many friends and coworkers that longingly nicknamed him “Jim Bob”. He enjoyed traveling to new places with his sister and would’ve travelled the globe if he was able to. Hobbies included watching the Ohio State Buckeyes and Chargers football. He loved collecting Lionel trains, G.I. joes, and various antiques. His hobbies also included researching military equipment and Wars/Battles of all eras including the civil war. He had the uncanny ability to recall any score of any game played and recall any war and details of the war of any year. Our father worked day in, and day out and still ensured that we were involved in sports or scouts and instilled the same ethic in us as we became men. He made us strong like him, gave us faith in the lord like him, and he never missed an opportunity to teach us something and the importance to pursue wisdom. He dedicated his life to us and its our time to dedicate every day to him as he watches over us from above.
