Robert Gale James

Robert (Bob) Gale James, 63, of Newark, Ohio passed away on May 6th, 2020. He was born in Columbus, Ohio and was the son of the late Frank and Delma James. He was also preceded in death by his sister Deborah Ferguson and four legged companion of 15 years Daisy May. Robert was a Meteorologist in the Navy who enjoyed classic rock, scratching lottery tickets, and catching fish when the weather was nice. Robert was a devoted and loving father who would stop at nothing for his children's happiness. He was a renegade who fought the toughest fight in silence, with a smile on his face. He always said he felt so young in mind and heart. He lived his life the way that he saw fit, by his own rules and no one else's. He was a great man and the patriarch of his family. Robert will be missed beyond measure. Robert is survived by sister Brenda (Tim) Johnson; children Rebecca (Shawn) James-Williams, Melissa Peck, Daniel Hall, Amanda(Michael) Wiley, and Ashley(Quentin) Brown, as well as 23 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and great friend Jerry Butler. Due to the public health crisis services will be held at a later time.
