Robert Dale Dennis

Robert Dale Dennis, 82 years old, currently living in Lancaster Ohio, made his heavenly trip on Tuesday afternoon, October 18th 2022.

Bob, as he was better known to many, was born July 7th, 1940 in Wellston Ohio, but grew up in Logan and was the son of the late Wayne and Mildred Dennis of Logan. Bob graduated from Logan High School and then enlisted in the US Navy, spending 4 years on the USS Franklin D Roosevelt aircraft carrier. Bob loved his years in the Navy. He played basketball on the ship's team and was nick named "Bullseye Bob". In February 1964 he was chosen by a board of Officers and Chief Petty Officers as "Sailor of the Month". After his service, he returned home to work in sales; first for 16 years for the F&R Lazarus Co. where he held many positions the last of which was Manager of the Home Store East and later in multiple companies in the furniture industry. He married Sandra Sue Yarber, of Haydenville, Ohio on October 12th 1963 (just celebrated their 59th anniversary). Bob was a faithful active member of Groveport United Methodist Church in Groveport Ohio.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Ronnie, sisters Karen and Diane, and his son in law Brad Krubl.

He is survived by his loving wife Sandy, his son Bob Dennis and wife Missy of Tupelo Mississippi ; daughter Jennifer Krubl of Valrico, Florida; his sisters Kendra Heidlebaugh and Kerrill Dennis of Logan; his grandchildren Blake, Mallori, Madison, Morgan, Alex, Austin, Hunter, Payton, Paige, and Sofia; his great grandchildren Collin, Beau, and Lucas.

No service or memorial to be held at this time. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Alzheimer’s Association or Groveport United Methodist Church of Groveport Ohio.
