Richard L Watson

Richard L. Watson 74 of Newark, OH passed away on July 24th, 2024.

Rick was born 10/30/1949 in Canton, OH and was the son of the late Earl and Jane Watson. After graduating Byars Hall high school in 1968 he served in the United States Air Force as a crew chief at Shaw AFB, Sumter SC until 1972. Following his military service, he had various jobs but finally settled in Printing which he worked up until retirement. During his retirement years he was able to enjoy fishing, gaming and his daily golf session with his little buddy George.

Our world holds a little less humor in his absence. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Janice A. Watson, a brother George(Nancy) Watson, two daughters, Cheyney(Jason) McNutt, Beth(Adam) Poulton and one son J.R.(Marcy) Greaves. Grandchildren, Samantha Best, Makenna Greaves, Chloe Greaves, Tatum Poulton, Alyson McNutt, Ian Poulton and Joline Greaves, one great grandson Finley Piatt, sister in law Mary(Tim) Grant, various nieces and nephews and his constant companion Sissy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Scott Watson.
