June 13, 1957-July 11, 2024

Randy Wagner was born in Douglas, Nebraska to Ray & Bernadine Wagner. He has two sisters, Rachel Wagner & Rhoda Jameson. He graduated from Health High School in 1975. He went on to Cedarville College where he received his BA. At college, he met his wife, Merrilee Wagner. They were married in 1978 and then had two children, Harmoni Jo Grable (married Chris, children are Maddox and Beckett) and Judah Wagner (daughter Hailey).

His first position as a Pastor was at First Baptist Church of Fairborn, then the following: taught school at Middletown Christian School; Pastor at Allison Ave Baptist in Mason; Grace Baptist in Mason; Pisgah Heights Baptist Church in Mason; First Baptist in Heath; Hickory Grove in Independence, KY; employed by Freedom Voice vocal group; Pastor at Calvary Baptist in Staunton, VA; First Baptist Circleville; Crossing Community in Hilliard. He has installed sound systems in over 400 churches. Ran sound in large venues all over Ohio and other states for Christian events and concerts, as well as trained others on how to run and install sound systems.

He was very passionate about arranging and directing elaborate traveling trips with senior citizens for many years as a Pastor. He was the executive director of passion plays in 3 churches for both Easter and Christmas productions. He was the executive director in a national drama production “eternity” seeing 1000's make life changing decisions in their lives. For over 10 years was the director of the Seneca Lake Baptist Music Camp where his children attended every year.

Randy was a wonderful man full of laughter (you could hear him around every corner), jokes, passion for what he did in the church, and dedication to the people and loved ones around him. He could light up a room just by his presence. His last eight years have been spent spoiling his grandchildren and teaching them about the things he loved and knew.

A Celebration service for Randy will be held Friday, June 19, 2024 from 4-5 PM at Rock City Church at Polaris, 1250 Gemini Pl. Columbus, OH.
