Ralph Joseph Susi, 65, of Buckeye Lake, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 2, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the Morrison House in Zanesville. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 16, 1955, to the late Jeannette (Crognale) & Dominic Susi. Ralph graduated from North High School in Columbus, Ohio. He was a Veteran and served in the United States Navy. Ralph was a resident of Buckeye Lake for over 30 years. He worked tirelessly in the drywall industry most all his life. Ralph was a great musician for many years, playing guitar and singing in different bands all over the Columbus and Buckeye Lake area. He loved to play and made numerous friends along the way. Ralph was an avid Cleveland Browns backer and all-around football fan. He enjoyed yelling at the tv every Saturday and Sunday cheering on his favorite teams. His family will miss his cooking, his laughter, and the sounds of him singing and playing guitar. Ralph is survived and will be greatly missed by his loving son and caretaker, Dominic Joseph; Stepdaughters, Heather and Amber; Granddaughters, Tasia and Brooklyn; Sister, Janet; Sister-in-Law, Judy; Nieces, Wendy, Michelle and Sophia; and his beloved dogs, Snoop & Sandy. Other family members, and so many lifelong friends to mention. Ralph is preceded in death by his parents, Jeannette & Dominic; brother Butch; and nephew Zachariah. Ralph was very grateful for his son, Dominic who has been there for him and for all the loving, nurturing care he provided him for so many years. Special thanks to the staff at Zanesville Morrison House for your compassion and care during his journey Home. Thank you to his family and close friends that visited and sat with him in what would be his final days. To honor Ralph’s request, no services will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held privately with the family. We would like to encourage those that knew Ralph, to listen to your favorite music and remember him. We have no doubt, he’s already up there playing a gig with the ones he has lost. If you have any pictures or memories, we invite you to share on his tribute wall. Loving and merciful God, we entrust our brother Ralph to your mercy. You loved him greatly in this life; now that he is freed from all its cares, give him happiness and peace forever. The old order has passed away; welcome him now into paradise where there will be no more sorrow, no more weeping or pain, but only peace and joy with Jesus, your Son, and the Holy Spirit for ever and ever. Amen.
