Penny G. Hughes

Penny Gail Hughes, age 59, of London, Ohio went to be with Jesus on October 2, 2022. She was born on December 9, 1962 in Springfield, Ohio and was the daughter of Dale Eugene Pyles and Patty Jean Pyles.

Penny graduated from Northwestern High School (Springfield, Ohio) and studied at Mount Vernon Nazarene University. She had a long career in nursing, serving at Community Hospital in Springfield, Ohio and at the OSU Wexner Medical Center. Penny loved country music, crafting, being Nana to her three grandkids, and cooking. She loved to travel, see new places, and take

spontaneous trips with anyone who would ride along. Her favorite vacation spot is anywhere near the ocean.

Penny was a simple woman; she didn’t care for fancy or lavish. She valued modesty and lived a humble lifestyle. She rarely spent money on herself and always made sure those around her were taken care of. She modeled selflessness and would always be ready to give help when needed. The world is definitely a little darker now that she’s gone.

Penny was preceded in death by Michael Dale Pyles.

Her surviving family members include her aunt, Geneva Franks; sister, Judy Babb; son, Brando Brinkman; daughter, Cassandra (Adam) Haley; grandsons, Elijah Everett Haley and Kaiden Paul Haley; granddaughter, Athena Vivienne Haley; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at The Naz Church, 4770 Hoover Road, Grove City,

Ohio 43123 on October 8, 2022 at 2:00PM.
