Patrick J. Whited, 70, of Columbus, OH, passed away on January 27, 2024, at Riverside Hospital due to complications from COPD. Pat was born December 30, 1953, at White Cross Hospital, the younger son of Donald F. and June (Mullen) Whited.
A 1971 graduate of Brookhaven HS, Pat was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving on the USS Oklahoma City, Flagship of the 7th Fleet. After his military service, Pat spent his career refinishing and repairing furniture, including business jet interiors.
Pat had numerous interests and hobbies, all of which he was passionate about. He was a nearly lifelong drummer, playing in local bands throughout the years. He enjoyed riding and restoring motorcycles, including his pride and joy, a 350cc and a 100cc Honda. Pat loved aircraft, especially those of the WWII era, and spent many years building models, with over 100 completed. He also loved to go camping. Along with his wife, Debbie, Pat camped in many of Ohio's State Parks over the years.
Preceded in death by his parents, Pat is survived by his wife Debbie (Daulton) Whited, son, Ian Whited, daughter, Allison Whited, brother, Mike (Rhonda) Whited, and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life is planned for Pat later in the Spring.
