Patricia Weese

Patricia "Pat" Weese, 77, of Columbus OH passed away on August 22, 2024.

She was born January 1, 1947, in McArthur OH. She was the daughter of the late Russell W. and Rhea O. (Brown) Weese. During her childhood she moved with her family to Toledo and Fostoria OH.

Pat was a graduate of Fostoria High School. She worked at Lumberman‘s Mutual Insurance Company and Scioto Savings Bank. After these early employment experiences, she entered college and graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor of Science degree in Education majoring in Industrial Technology. She then lived in Belpre OH and worked for West Virginia's Wood County Schools until her retirement. She taught industrial technology, drafting, and technology classes at Edison Middle School, Van Devender Middle School, Parkersburg South High School, Jackson Middle School, Parkersburg High School, and Williamstown High School.

Throughout her life, Pat was a member of Community of Christ. She enjoyed traveling, camping, photography, genealogy, handicrafts, creating things for others, and volunteering with church youth. She especially delighted in the antics of young family members and was a ready playmate.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother-in-law Clarke Ballinger, and uncles and aunts Ralph (Marie) Brown, and William "Bill" (Janet) Brown.

She is survived by her dear niece and caregiver Sarah (Tim) Bowman, sister Shela Ballenger, brother John (Gloria) Weese, niece Sameera (Suhiel) Hamdan, nephew Tim (Stacey) Ballinger, niece Paula (Mark) Busch, several great-nieces and great-nephews, and a vast number of cousins.

Pat will be greatly missed by her family and the many friends whose lives she touched. In keeping with her wishes, the family will hold a private graveside service.
