Pat Soderston

Patricia (Pat) Soderston (nee Berger) 03/30/1938 ~ 12/11/2023 passed away at home on December 11, 2023 after battling cancer for almost a year. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Patricia attended Holy Name High School. After graduating in 1956 Patricia went to work, then married and began raising her three children. Always a caregiver, she went to nursing school when her youngest child was a sophomore in high school. After graduating from Parma School of Nursing she began her nursing career in geriatrics. When Patricia retired from nursing she continued helping others by working in home health care until early in 2022 just 2 months shy of her 84th birthday. Patricia was preceded in death by her mother, Marian Berger (nee Triptow), her father, Howard Berger, and her brother Thomas Joseph Berger. She is survived by her sons, Brian Robert Soderston, Marc Anthony Soderston, and daughter Lisa Marie Wickman of Staunton, Virginia, as well as her sister Marilyn Maloney of Stone Mountain, Georgia and her 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren along with 5 nephews and a niece. A lifelong caregiver, there is no way to add up all the good Patricia has done for others. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. The family is planning a “Celebration of Life” for Sunday, April 7th, 2024 to be held at Moxies Grille 700 Medina St, Lodi, OH 44254.
