Monica Louise Barnhill

April 22, 1946 — February 19, 2020

Monica Louise Barnhill, known by many as “Nani,” was born in Springfield, Ohio on April 22nd, 1946 to Rita Griffin and Robert Peacock. Nani was called home to heaven on Wednesday February 19th, 2020, surround by her loved ones. Monica leaves behind daughter, Shannin and sister, Mary Pat. Three grandchildren: Kiana Woodard, Xavier Story, and Isaiah Charlton. As well as three great grandchildren: Mekhi Dent, Grayson Story, and Julian Myers. She loved spending time with her family, listening to music, reading books, and going to the beach. Her infectious laugh, silly personality, and warm presence brought joy and love to all those around her. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren meant more than anything to her and her world revolved around them. The world is truly a darker place without her light in the world. She will be remembered and will be thought of with love by all who knew her. A private celebration of Monica’s life will be held among family and her ashes will be spread where she loved and longed to be, in the ocean.
