Misty Sue Melton

Misty Melton, age 45 of Mansfield, Ohio passed away on Friday, February 14th, 2025, after a short battle with Neuroendocrine cancer. 

She was born to Carroll Lee Melton Jr. and Marie Bartell on September 22nd, 1979. Misty was later adopted by her grandparents Carroll Lee Sr. & Betty Melton whom she referred to as mom and dad.

Misty’s favorite past time was watching her 2 grandkids and spending time with her family and friends enjoying get togethers, birthday parties, concerts and any other celebration that included those closest to her.

Misty was a selfless person, she lived her life full of love and compassion. She will be remembered for her big heart and willingness to always be there for others.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Misty leaves behind to cherish many fond memories her son Phillip Jr. (Bri) Isaac; grandchildren Aceson & Mavis Isaac; birth father Carroll Lee Melton Jr.(Shannon); birth mother Marie Bartell; multiple siblings Cynthia R. Persinger; Sandra L. Melton; Susan (Will) Butts; Teresa M. (David)Street; Sebrina (Judd) Lamp; Tamica Melton; Mason(Michelle) Melton; Tylor Melton; Pedro Lopez; Alejandra Lopez; Esperanza Lopez; Kurtis (Jessica) Bartell; Carl Bartell; Timothy (Sherri) Bartell; Heather Bartell; Dustin (Jessika) Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews and her special friend Jose.

Misty was preceded in death by her daughter Alyssa R. Isaac; her son Robert “Bobby” L. Melton; parents Carroll Lee Sr. & Betty Melton; grandparents Carl & Pauline Troesch; nephew Zechariah Shrader and brother-in-law John Persinger and many others who came and went before her.

Rest easy Misty your fight here on earth is over and you are whole again. Until we meet again, may peace be with you.

The family will be holding a celebration of life on March 15, 2025 at Kindred Kove located at 1710 Lorkay Drive, Mansfield, Ohio 44905. The celebration will be from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. The ceremony to honor Misty will begin promptly at 5pm.
