Catharine Nimon

Mary “Catharine” Nimon, 76, of Chillicothe, Ohio passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025 at home. 

Catharine was born in Lancaster, Ohio on May 25,1948 to the late Rose (Sullivan) and Harold Nimon. 

Catharine graduated from Lancaster High School in 1966. In addition to raising her children, she was an accomplished artist. Always working on her craft, she taught many students throughout her life. Also, Catharine was a Reflexologist for many years. 

Catharine was a bright light and free spirit, spreading her positive frame of mind everywhere she went. She never met a stranger and had numerous close friends. Catharine found much joy in pursuing her spirituality and sharing that with friends. 

Catharine was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Rose Nimon; sister, Mary Ellen Elliott; and brother, James Nimon.She is survived by her son, William (Lisa) Westcamp; daughters, Audra (Bill) Barron, Christina (Jason) Hallas, Megan (Josh) Collinsworth and Beth Westcamp; and grandchildren, Trenton and Victoria Westcamp, Avery Epprecht, Aiden and Heath Hallas, Dominic, Dane and Amelia Barron, Julian Ginter and Gianna Collinsworth; sisters, Rosalie Kittleson, Frances (Lloyd) Tobias; brother, Michael (Jackie) Nimon as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

In keeping with Catharine’s wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held in warmer weather, with date to be determined. 

The family would like to thank Dr. Rose and the staff at the Adena Cancer Center, as well as the National Church Residences Hospice staff for the care and compassion provided to Catharine.
