Mary Margaret Field

Mary Margaret (Jones)Field, 85, passed away peacefully at her daughters home in Cambridge, Ohio on April 5, 2023 in the late evening. She was born February 2, 1938 in Cambridge Ohio but grew up around old Washington and Winterset area she proudly graduated from Madison High School in 1956 and was the Antrim Fireman’s festival Queen the same year.

Mary worked in various positions such as Ford plastics, Exec. Housekeeping at Days Inn, and blending at Edgetech. She worked hard all of her life and raised her two children independently. She only retired a month prior to her 74th birthday.

Mary is survived by her two children Daniel Field, and Dawn “Shellee” Field ( Luis Bosch) of Cambridge. She also leaves behind her only two grandchildren who she loved and adored, Carl Field (Mary Chapman)

of Zanesville, Ohio and Quentin Field of Cambridge. Mary also leaves behind her brother John (Karen)Jones of New Philadelphia, Ohio. She also leaves behind several cousins and many friends. She never met a stranger. She was a good woman who was liked and loved by everyone she encountered.

Mary was recently restored as a Christian and was a member of East Cambridge Church of Christ.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Foster and Gladys (Fitzgerald)Jones, a sister, Phyllis, and a brother Carl “Butch” Jones, Mary also was preceded in death by special friends, Ralph and Ann Nichols and Theresa Welker.

Family would like to thank Medical Associates, Southeastern Home Care and several departments at Genesis: Hospice, Heart Failure Clinic, Nephrology and Palliative Care. The family would also like to express their thanks to everyone who asked about her and prayed for her and to those who assisted in making her last birthday a memorable one by receiving over 200 cards for her card shower.

Leaf Cremation is in charge of her final arrangements. There will be a memorial service announced and held at a later date.
