Mary (Krause) Snyder

September 18, 1935 — February 23, 2024

Mary (Krause) Snyder, 88 of Warsaw (Cooperdale), Ohio passed away on Friday February 23, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. Her final moments were spent peacefully at home, surrounded by her family. Born September 18, 1935, in Cleveland Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Carl William Krause and Margaret Vilma (Molnar) Krause.


On September 26, 1964, she married Norman Charles Snyder who

precedes her in death. They were married for 50 years until his passing in 2014.


Mary retired from F.W. Woolworth Company in Cleveland after many years of service. She loved to read mystery books, play Mahjong, Solitaire, FreeCell and spend quality time with her family. She was kind and generous and will be dearly missed by all who loved her.


Mary is survived by her brother Carl Krause of Elyria Ohio, Son Frederick (LeeAnna) Slyman of Wellton AZ, Daughter Elizabeth Snyder of Kearneysville, WV, Daughter Patricia Beall of Warsaw OH, Son Eric (Dusty) Clare of Rockwall, TX, her beloved niece Kathy (Phil) Pokatello who shared the same September birthdate and was often referred to as her eldest daughter. Special nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Steve) Ellis, Jason (Cate) Pokatello and son Grayson, Peggy Wolfe, and Nick Garuccio. She had 9 grandchildren, Suzy, Sally, Katie, Benjamin, Sarah, Emily, Angel, Asher, and Alexi, 5 great-grandchildren, 1 Great- Great-Granddaughter, and last but not least, her favorite Grand- Puppy Molly.


She was also preceded in death by her sisters Margaret Garuccio, Elizabeth Buckner, and Esther Wozik.


There will be no services. The family will host a private memorial celebration of her life at a future date.
