Martin Van Buren Fullenlove, 88, of Galion, Ohio passed peacefully on the morning of October 15th, 2022 at Ohio Health Hospice in Dublin, Ohio. He loved his family and will be greatly missed.
Martin was born May 21st, 1934 in Crestline, Ohio and was the son of Ethel (Reed) and John Fullenlove. He served in the US Army before settling in Galion, Ohio where he worked at the Galion Post Office for over 25 years. He was also the Local President of the APWU during his career.
Martin is preceded in death by his beloved wife Barbara A. (Helfrich) Fullenlove, his only grandson Eric Martin Chafin, his brother Ronald E. Fullenlove and two stepbrothers William and James Beck.
Martin is survived by his daughters Kimberly A. Fullenlove and Shari “Shorty” L. Fullenlove-Cook and her husband Jeffrey C. Cook. He has a brother Kenneth Fullenlove and two sisters Elise Fullenlove and Mildred Winbigler, as well as many nieces and nephews. He has one great grandson Chance W. Chafin.
Martin enjoyed sports including basketball, baseball and football. He was an avid Ohio State fan and proudly wore his BUCKEYES hat daily. He was a fantastic vegetable gardener and loved planting flowers too.
Martin will be buried November 21st, 2022 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Columbus, Ohio with a private family and military service. In memory of Martin, please make contributions to the American Kidney Foundation.
