Marie Lightfoot

Celebration of Life….

Marie Lightfoot was born February 7th, 1930, in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Leola Smith and Willie Mims who were High School sweethearts. She was 93 yrs. old when she was called to heaven at Legacy Westerville on September 4th, 2023.

She received a plaque from US Federal Bank for an outstanding worker, Marie was a part of the Eastern Star Chapter. Her favorite colors were black and white, she enjoyed discussing politics, checkers, scratch off lottery tickets and playing cards with Amanda (her imaginary friend).

Survivors include her 3 stepchildren Helen (Eddie) Curry, Youlanda (Phillip) Powell, Debbie Wallace 9 grandkids, 17 great-grandkids and 5 great-great grandkids. Marie leaves behind a host of first cousins, that she helped raised Diane (Willie) Hadnot whom she referred to as her sister, Teresa (Anthony) Fluellen and their son Thomas Douglas, Emery Merritt, Shawn Williams, Omar Merritt, Marquerite Reid (Akron, Ohio). A long list of loving family on the Crumpton’s and Delaboin’s side (Cleveland, Ohio).

In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by a first cousin who was raised with her like a brother, Andrew J. Stoudenmire also known as Roosevelt A. Crumpton. And her stepson Richard Wallace.
