Margaret Ann Sprankel

Margaret (Mitzi) Ann Sprankel, 75, of Pickerington, OH, peacefully passed away on January 3, 2022, after an extended illness. Mitzi was born on May 12, 1946, to Lyle Joseph (Pete) Sprankel and Leah Winifred (Old) Sprankel in Sandusky, OH. Growing up Mitzi resided in Huron, and graduated from Huron High School in 1964. Mitzi retired in 1998 after years of working at Dan-Mar in Huron. In 1999 Mitzi moved to Pickerington, OH. She kept busy volunteering at a hospital and trucking her grandson around. Mitzi had time to pursue her love of family and friend time, along with crocheting crafts of which she donated or gifted. She also loved animals caring for Puff, Chess, Pippen, and Maggie. Mitzi was preceded in death by parents Lyle and Leah Sprankel; brother David Sprankel, ex-husband Michael Kohar Sr.; her maternal and paternal grandparents, along with many Aunts and Uncles. She is survived by her sister Jane Sprankel; son Michael Kohar Jr.; daughter in law Michelle (Kershner) Kohar; grandson Hunter Kohar; along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. At this time there will not be a gathering or formal services. The family will have a private service. A celebration of life gathering may be announced at a later time. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to either the Columbus Zoo or Toledo Zoo.
