Lowell Edward Spigelmoyer

Lowell (Sonny) Edward Spigelmoyer Jr, 83 passed away on his birthday, September 20, 2023 at his daughter’s home in Bellefontaine, Ohio .He was born to Lowell Edward Spigelmoyer Sr. and Esther Worthington Spigelmoyer in Springfield, Ohio.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Julia Elaine Spigelmoyer; son Eric Spigelmoyer and daughter Amy Evans. He also had five grandchildren, Adam Short, Amber Short, Jenny (Brad) Gatchell, Whitley (Chris) Moreland and Brooke (Dan) Huffman. He also was the great grandfather of seventeen beautiful grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Robin Ann Hatfield Patrick and cousin Sandy Robinson Grody.

“Sonny” attended Northwestern High School and was a U.S Army Veteran and served in Germany for three years. After he returned home, he worked as a car and insurance salesman but spent most of his years working in manufacturing until he retired early due to health issues.

He enjoyed boating and camping and spending time on the farm with his horses until his health declined.

Before his death, he chose to accept Jesus Christ as his personal savior and now is laughing and dancing in Heaven.

As per his request, he asked to be cremated and no memorial services will be held.
