Linda S. Rader

February 15, 1949 — February 1, 2023

Linda S. Rader 73, of Delaware, Ohio passed away peacefully on February 1st at home with her daughter and granddaughter by her side. She was born February 15th, 1949. She grew up in Ostrander, Ohio where she stayed close to for most of her life.

Linda was proceeded in death by her husband Breht, her parents Raymond and Flora (Maugans) Freeman. Her sisters Beverly Wood and Sally Foster, her brother Mark Freeman and her daughter Brenda Preston.

Linda is survived by her daughter Toni Brown and grandchildren Lori Brown, Les Brown, and Baylee Preston and her brother Jerry Freeman.

Linda enjoyed being a driving instructor for many years and then working at Ohio Wesleyan University as a housekeeper for many years. She loved being around all the college kids and stopping to chat with them throughout her day. She later retired from there. After she retired she enjoyed being outside and working in the yard and enjoyed mowing the grass every summer and being in the sun. She was always busy doing things. She loved everything about Christmas and making her buckeyes and fudge and putting up the tree. She enjoyed time with her grandchildren and watching Christmas movies with them. She had a love for animals, her four legged friends. Linda had a kind heart for people and wanted to make someone’s day better whether she knew you or not. She never met a stranger. She very much enjoyed her Tuesday morning breakfast with her best friend Sherry. Linda was a devoted daughter taking care of her mother for many years after her father passed.

She will be greatly missed by her extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins and their children. She had a wonderful personality and witty attitude that was like no other. Her warm heart will live on thru her family and friends.

We are not having a funeral. If there is something you would like to do in her memory just remember life is short and there is no guarantee that we will be given a tomorrow so love the people close to you and remember everyone has a story.
