Linda M. Landis of Canal Winchester, Ohio peacefully left this world on May 9th, 2022. Born on August 11, 1949 to James Bateman and the late Norma Lockhart Bateman in Steubenville, Ohio. Linda graduated from Jefferson Union High School, class of 1968 – GO YELLOW JACKETS! Linda will always be remembered as being devoted to her family and her love for the holidays, especially Christmas. She always enjoyed going downtown Columbus to shop at Lazarus and looking at all Christmas displays. Linda enjoyed also traveling up to Lake Erie for weekend vacations, camping, shopping, and being a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Linda will fondly be remembered for all of her timely phone calls to family members when she just happened to know when she needed them the most. Linda was a member of the Restoration Church of Columbus, Ohio branch. Linda was preceded in death by her mother and best friend, Norma “Froggy” Bateman. Linda was survived by her soulmate and husband of 51 years, Donald B. Landis, her son Joe (Tami) Landis, her special nephew who was almost like a son to her Josh (Emily) Martin, her 3 grandchildren Tiffany Lynn, Evelyn May, and Matthew James (Natalie Rae) Landis, and 3 siblings Mary Jo (Bob) FIsher, Jimmy (Louise) Bateman, and Robin Martin, and her beloved furry daughter Patty Cake Landis, as well as many special nieces and nephews. Memorial celebration for Linda will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family asks that all flowers be sent to Canal Winchester Rehabilitation Center so the residents can appreciate and love them as she would have and monies be sent to Capital City Hospice for all of the great care and love they gave to Linda in her final days.
