Linda Louise (Bishop) Cox, 72, of St Marys, WV passed on to her next adventure with the Lord on January 8, 2024. She was in the company of her daughter and daughter-in-law and went peacefully.
Lindy Lou was born March 15, 1951 in Buena Park, CA and was the youngest daughter of the late Eugene Bishop and Jane Ross.
She was also preceded in death by her husband of 15 years Greg Cox.
Lindy loved all numbers of crafts (especially crochet and painting), reading, movies, and television shows. She enjoyed nature and gardening. She was always happy to be cooking or baking treats. She loved to sit and talk and especially laugh. Her smile lit up a room.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and cousin. The world is a little darker without her, but she'd always want us to remember the light and joy the world offers us.
She is survived by her daughter Shannon Williams and daughter in law Charla, step sons Adam Cox and family and Aaron Cox and family, fiance Archie Thomas and family, sisters Kathy and Patricia, nieces and nephews Bryant, Elizabeth, Theresa, Michelle, Christina, and Santos. Cousins Tina, Diana, DeVona, and Cindy. And so many friends and loved ones.
She requested that no services be held but rather that everyone go have a great meal and drink a toast in her honor. She wanted all her people to share great memories of her and her life.
Later in the year her ashes will be spread in the Smoky Mountains as per her wishes.
In lieu of flowers, please contribute to a charity in her memory. She had many challenging medical conditions, but especially struggled with heart disease and colon based illnesses. She also loved animals, so a donation to a rescue or shelter in her honor would be appropriate.
Thank you to everyone who has loved her and honored her. Her memory is a blessing to us all.
