Lew L. Elliott, age 90, of Edgewater Place Assisted Living, Plain City, Ohio, went home to Heaven on March 3, 2024. Formerly of South Charleston, South Vienna, and Springfield, Ohio, where he was born January 18, 1934, the son of Clarence and Ruth Elliott. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Gene (Janice), and his sister Rose Lewis (Ed).
Lew retired from International Harvester after 30+ years of faithful employment. He had many hobbies & interests, among them their horses and 4-H Club, golfing, and meticulously caring for their home, property, and always abundant garden. Most of all, he and his devoted wife Margie loved spending time with family & friends. He was a humble, kindhearted, gentle soul of a husband, father, grandfather, neighbor, and friend. Lew and Margie formerly attended the Plattsburg United Church of Christ.
He will be missed beyond words by his loving wife of 70 years, Margie; his daughters and sons-in-law: Mary Sharp (Randy), Michele Dillon (Tom), and Bonnie Elliott (David Stone); his grandchildren: Andrew Hayes (Susan), Brian Sharp, Matthew Sharp (Pam), and Kristen Sharp (Mike Imhoff); and his great-grandchildren: Deanna, Nicole, and Luke Hayes; Henry Horan Sharp; and Keir, Wren, and Scout Sharp.
A special thank-you goes to his loved ones, the staff at Edgewater Place for their ongoing care and support of Lew and Margie, and Summit Hospice for their care and kindness in his final days.
