Leonard E. Shepard

Leonard E. Shepard, age 69, passed away on December 22, 2019 at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, OH. He was born on August 16, 1950 in West Union, OH to Sam and Louise Shepard. He is survived by wife, Kelly; daughter, Sarah; son, Shawn; mother, Louise McNeilan; brothers, Sam (Jean) Shepard, Mike Shepard, and Harold (Peggy) Sibert; sisters, Donna (David) Smith, Roseanne Miller, Shirley Osborne, Sue Eldridge, and Sheila (Bobby) Stratton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Leonard was preceded in death by six brothers, one sister, and his step-father, Harold McNeilan. Leonard was a decorated Vietnam Veteran in the Army 192nd Assault Helicopter Company. He was dearly loved by his family and grandsons, T.J. Smith, Blake Shepard, and Silas Shepard. It was Leonard's wishes to be cremated. A memorial service will be held in his honor at Amvets on South Maple St. in Lancaster, OH on January 18th, 2020 at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to Amvets.
