Larry Lee O’Dell, 82, passed away in Columbus, OH on February 10, 2020. He was born July 12, 1937 in Newark, OH to the late Howard and Mary O’Dell. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert O’Dell; daughter, Tammy McLane O’Dell-Landis; and son-in-law, Curtis Landis. Larry was a graduate of Newark High School class of 1955. He worked as supervisor with Vac-U-Form Industries as well as co-owner of the world famous 4T’s Pizza in Vanatta. Larry was a Mason and a member Teheran Grotto, the Moose, Druids, and Eagles Lodge, and the Gun Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved to play cards, drink Black Label and he was the best gardener and canner around. He enjoyed cooking and sharing his meals with others and did on a regular basis. He will be remembered and will be thought of with love by all who knew him. He will be thought of with discord for the unlucky few that dare cross his family and loved ones! Either way he will be smiling that he made an impression. His name will always be remembered: the man, the myth, the legend! Our father. Larry is survived by his son; Corbin Todd (Kay) O’Dell; daughters Tawna Lee England and Tiffany (Shane) O’Dell-Allen, the children of Pauline Wright; grandchildren, Brittany (Nick) Miller, RC Martin, Torri (Andy) Crouse, Esme Crouse, Adam O’Dell, Kayleigh O’Dell, Lindsay O’Dell, Hank Landis, Trey Hottle, and Allison Hottle; nieces, Bonita Jenkins, Kim Spring, and Kerri Hyland; great grand children, Payton Priest, Joshua Priest, Finnian Johnson, Mason Miller, Miles Miller, Brody Miller, George Martin, Norah Martin, and Keira Landis; numerous great nieces and nephews; close friends Larry considered family; his longtime companion and girlfriend Dorothy Dial; his loving dog, Mac; and his 13 cats. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 23rd, 2020 from 2:00pm-5:00pm at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 1007 Hollander St. Newark, OH 43055 with the Masonic Ceremony beginning at 5:00pm (food provided). In lieu of flowers the family is asking for anyone willing to adopt any of the cats please reach out to Tiffany.
