King Mayse, 59, passed away on July 1, 2024, after a brief illness. He was born on January 25, 1965, in Marion, Ohio and was a 1983 graduate of Marion Harding High School, where he excelled in football and wrestling along with music and academics. King was an employee of Rosati Windows in Hilliard, Ohio.
King is survived by his wife of 30 years, Jill Brockman Mayse, and his children Sienna and Haley Mayse. Also surviving are his parents Kay (mother) and Steve Snyder and Larry (father) and Carolyn Mayse, brother Kyle Mayse and sisters-in law Lisa (Jason) Brockman and Shari Brockman and a special brother to him, Eric Bristol, as well as several nieces and nephews.
King was a lifelong Ohio State and Cleveland Browns football fan and he loved all sports. He was an avid gardener, music lover and wrote and played his own original songs. He developed a passion for art and spent time creating his own paintings. He enjoyed listening to all types of music and sending songs back and forth with his kids and engaging them in thought provoking conversations. King had a huge heart and a love for life. He will be missed deeply by his family and all who knew him.
A celebration of his life will be planned in late summer.
In lieu of flowers, please take a moment to reach out to a friend, listen to a new song or reminisce to an old one. Take time to appreciate a flower or landscape or pat a dog’s head. This would be the greatest contribution to honor him for a life well lived and as a man well loved.
