Kenneth Sims

April 9, 1965 — December 2, 2022

Kenneth (Kenny) Sims, 57, of Glenford, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 12:45 AM in his home.

He was born April 9, 1965 in Zanesville to Billy Ray Sims and OnaBelle Sims (Maze).

He remarried the love of his life Jill on November 23, 2022 with a beautiful ceremony in their home surrounded by close family. He adored his children John Sims (Ashley), Kristina Stewart (Chad) and Stacey Mugrage (Josh) who were by his side as he fought so hard to beat cancer. He felt peace and happiness and viewed this time together with family as a true blessing.

He was a proud Grandpa to Kaitlyn, Zander, Caleb, Justin and Sarah. He was the middle child of 7 siblings Annabelle Currence (Paul), Rebecca Cavinee (Chuck), Ray Sims (Edna), Pat Sims (Trish), Michael Sims (Staci) and Kevin Sims. He was an Uncle and a Great Uncle to many nephews and nieces.

Kenny was a hard working man with many talents from fixing things to making things. He loved classic country music, Fords, tractors, living the simple country life and spending time with his family. He was loved and respected by everyone who had the honor of knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his Father Billy Ray Sims, his nephew Ray Allen Sims, his neice Shelby Arizona Sims, his grandparents and his Mother-in-law Margaret Golden.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully ask that donations be sent to the to the Dementia Society of America (https://www.dementiasociety.org) in the honor of his Mom; OnaBelle Sims.
