Kenneth Eric Marshall

June 12, 1964 — January 25, 2021

Kenneth Eric Marshall will be remembered by his loved ones for the sound of his laughter and his varied, often bizarre, humor that elicited laughs from so many. He loved telling stories, relating his own adventures. He loved doing small things to make others happy. He loved his family - his mother, Wanda Belmont; his sisters, Lisa Hixon, Karen Riback, and Vonda Covington. He felt the love and support of his uncle, Amos Covington, during his last weeks. He has left behind nieces and nephews, aunts, an uncle, and cousins, in addition to his mother and sisters, all of whom he loved and all of whom love and miss him. Ken was born on June 12, 1964, in Washington, DC. He died on January 25, 2021, in Columbus, Ohio, where he worked many years as a taxi driver and doing construction. Eric’s last job was at Walmart in the electronics department, a job that he loved and where his knowledge was appreciated. In the summer of 2020, Ken learned that he had lung cancer. He was nearing the end of his life when he was forced by his cancer to go into the hospital. He was in and out of the hospital in December and early January, then back to the ER on 1/8/21, where he waited for more than a day and a half for a hospital bed On January 19, we learned that Ken had Covid-19. He died on January 25 under the vigilant and compassionate care of the medical staff at Wexmer Medical Center at OSU. Ken loved dogs and quaker parrots, hunting and fishing, being in the woods, and gaming on his suped up computer that he built. He loved rock & roll and movies. We miss him.
